HOW IT STARTED…

HOW MY TOP 1% TIKTOK CHANNEL LED ME TO THE STEPS OF THE CAPITOL WITH PARIS HILTON

For decades, a multi-billion dollar industry had operated almost entirely unregulated and out of public view. People who'd been through it had little real information about what had happened to them, or how to build a normal life afterward. So the sharing started, right at the beginning of the first real wave of public information about the industry breaking through.

A channel built around those stories grew to 100,000 followers in about a month, then past 200,000, landing in the top 1% of TikTok creators. One video, a song, passed 3 million views and led to an audition invitation from American Idol. Lifetime, The Daily Dot, and Refinery29 ran interviews, and outlets picked up the videos themselves as stories.

But the views were never the point. Alongside other advocates, the work led to the Capitol, lobbying with Paris Hilton for the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, the first federal bill of rights for kids in these facilities. It passed.

That work continues today through Unsilenced, the leading nonprofit in the space, running its social presence and advocacy day to day. In June 2026 alone, the organization onboarded 100 new volunteers from across the country. The same story reached its widest audience yet as the subject of The Program, the number one documentary on Netflix, and again through the film The Wilderness, released in October 2025.

Digital marketing wasn't the starting point. Advocacy was. The marketing came later, from watching what it actually takes to get millions of people to pay attention to something true.

HOW A LEGACY MANUFACTURER TURNED $17K INTO $320K IN CONTENT VALUE WHILE CUTTING THEIR AD SPEND BY TWO THIRDS

A respected legacy manufacturer had been posting content for years, but leadership had no real way to tell if any of it was working. Their previous agency had them spending three times the budget, boosting every single post for thousands of dollars, and pulling back mostly bot engagement for the trouble.

We rebuilt the whole system: measuring content the same way as paid advertising, turning real customer stories into UGC content that actually performed, and tying posts back to in-store sales. A year later, the brand earned a 17x return on content investment, a full generation of younger customers came into the mix, and the loyal 45-plus crowd never left, all on a fraction of what they used to spend.

Good food doesn't sell itself. This restaurant had loyal regulars and real buzz, but the content wasn't doing anything for them, and the website was stuck in the past: the owner was rewriting the menu by hand every time it changed.

We fixed both sides. Built a content engine that made the place impossible to scroll past if you lived nearby, rebuilt the site to convert, and killed the manual menu updates with a system that takes seconds. Three months in: 110K+ Instagram reach, website traffic doubled. We raised the bottom line.

This studio had loyal members and a great reputation. What it didn't have was growth, because the owner was the entire business. Instruction, content, operations, all of it ran through her.

We rebuilt the ad strategy around real connection instead of stock fitness messaging, redesigned the site to actually convert, and fixed the internal systems so the business didn't need her micromanaging every corner of it. New student revenue doubled.

Twenty-one economies. Thirty thousand visitors. Over a thousand journalists. And no digital presence to greet any of them.

Thirty days, we built the whole thing from scratch: new channels, a full identity, coordinated messaging with the mayor's office. By the time the summit opened, the story was already in front of the press that mattered.

Surveys don't get honest answers. This nonprofit had data, just not real insight, because Gen Z wasn't going to hand over the truth in a form.

We built TikTok content that actually spoke their language, tested it against the traditional stuff, then used what worked to get real conversation going. Thirty days later: hundreds of honest responses and a dozen national focus groups. Enough to actually change how the organization talks to this generation.

This film covered a subject people don't trust brands to handle. Any hint of a sales pitch would've killed it instantly.

So we didn't sell it. We partnered with a nonprofit the audience already trusted and let real advocates carry the story instead of pushing it ourselves. Eight million organic views. A 90% Rotten Tomatoes score. All of it outperforming a competitor spending thousands a month on ads.
